Learning Hubs

The ‘Hubs’ provide support to Managers across Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole, providing attendees with up to date information on changes within legislation, training initiatives, opportunities and funding. Attendees say the meetings are a useful way of keeping up to date and networking.  

The meetings take place across the County four times a year with Kate Blake from Partners in Care leading the meetings. The meetings focus around current changes within the sector and feedback from attendees. Kate will also invite speakers to present at the meetings on certain topics of interest.

Activity Co-Ordinator Forums

The Activity Co-Ordinator forums primarily exist to provide support for activity co-ordinators but are open to anyone with an interest in finding out more about providing stimulating activity in care settings. We also invite speakers in to talk at the forums about relevant and interesting topics. The meetings are free and take place quarterly in Dorchester and Wimborne, facilitated by Partners in Care and Alive! A newsletter is also produced following each meeting. The meetings are lively and vibrant with lots of opportunities for networking, meeting new colleagues and sharing ideas.

Dorset Care Training Partnership (DCTP)

The ‘DCTP’ is a regular forum for all training providers delivering Health & Social Care training in Bournemouth, Dorset & Poole area. The forum usually meets together quarterly, with Kate Blake from Partners in Care helping to co-chair the meeting.

The meetings focus on key drivers affecting the sector such as changes within legislation, training initiatives & opportunities and funding. The focus is around networking and working together to support the sector, and a key strength of the forum is the willingness of all those involved to share best practice.

Bournemouth, Dorset & Poole Care Provider Federation (BDPCPF)

BDPCPF is a dynamic federation dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for care organisations across Bournemouth, Dorset & Poole. Under the federation there are two associations:

  • Dorset Care Home Association (DCHA)
  • Dorset Home Care Providers Association (DHCPA)

By becoming a member of one of the above you have the opportunity to join like minded providers who are committed to providing the best care possible, whilst ensuring business efficiency.
