With the Mental Capacity Act (2005) continuing to be something that care organisations are seeking information and advice on, Skills for Care has recently helped to develop a one-day workshop template. The template can be used by employers to help plan and deliver Mental Capacity Act awareness training and discussions, drawing on some freely available videos and learning materials. NMDS-SC Data User Group

The National Minimum Data Set for Social Care is the leading source of workforce intelligence for the social care sector. Skills for Care is keen to involve employers in the development and management of the NMDS-SC and as such as we have an opportunity for a private/independent sector employer to join the Data User Group. This is the group that steers, assesses any requests for change and makes recommendations regarding the NMDS-SC. It is made up of representatives from strategic partners and employers. However, we are keen to expand our employer representation. The group ‘meets’ by telecom every 3 months.
