Performance management matters. How well you do it has a huge impact on the quality of care that people who need care and support receive. To support managers in social care with their responsibilities for people performance management we’ve developed an online toolkit in partnership with NHS employers. The toolkit aims to encourage and enable better performance management practices at all levels of health and social care, particularly among managers of people who deliver care at the frontline. Care Improvement Works

Our new online resource directs care providers to free, reliable guides, learning tools and products mapped to the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) inspection questions and key lines of enquiry (KLOEs). Developed in partnership with the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE), Care Improvement Works aims to support improvement – whatever your inspection rating. The resource has been developed with support from  care providers, regulators, commissioners, service users and carers. You can search for products by CQC question or KLOE, generate your own lists of useful products, and email the list to yourself or others. Visit careimprovementworks.org.uk.
